That area has lots of surveillance.  I hope it's the right person, they're convicted and they die.

Ideally those that facilitated the entrance and existence here would be charged with accessory

Hopefully the Jury will be given the option for the death penalty

The local DA's office is in such disarray thanks to it's social justice leader, elected in 2020, I'm not sure they have anyone left who is competent to try a murder case. I was told by a lawyer from Athens last fall that they were down to 3 lawyers (out of 21 they are funded to carry). She's a total mess, but they voted her in.

DebGonzo is a DA that is supposed to prosecute crimes in the area, but instead defends them based on the belief it is racism that caused the crime.  This case is going to be a national election year frenzy

By the way, I had a local law enforcement friend tell me he is in fact here illegally, has been deported several times, and has a history of violence.

If that doesn’t make your blood boil…

Had a co-worker come over today, who's been following this, and said that they are bringing in an external prosecutor to try this case.  That's good and sad at the same time.  Apparently this DA said during her campaign that she'd never pursue the death penalty.
