Sitting in the waiting room waiting to get 2 MRIs….
#1
Lady here with her mom is raising hell because they arrived late and mom’s time sensitive medication to go with the scan has expired. She’s (daughter) pissed and has been arguing with them for 30 min. about having to come back later; all while translating / explaining it all to her mom.

When she walked in I thought she was a hot Chiquita. Not so much now. Gawd bless her mom, though.
FWIW I arrived over 2 hours ago like I was told. Even went to the wrong building and was able to figure it out and  walk over to Northside / main hospital in time.

For some folks, it’s always someone else’s fault

Being on time is not in the cards for some folks..and as TD says, it's never their fault.

No kidding. I almost got beat up at Dekalb Co (make your inferences) at the police dot no less, getting a police report. Guy was bitching about getting a speeding ticket and blaming the man, the man won’t let him drive without harassing him, etc.  I asked him if he was speeding, he told me to stfu.  Always someone else’s fault…

Dang... getting TWO MRIs at the same time? I've had MRIs before. Never two together, though. Depending upon what area they are scanning, as well as the type of machine... it can be the difference between drugs or no drugs.

(shiver)

I had an MRI one time where they were taking a precautionary look just to be sure there was no brain tumor (hearing-related issue that occurred some years ago... and there was no tumor). Ok... get this... they were using one of the old timey "narrow bore" machines, AND the area they would be scanning was my head, which meant my head would be about dead center inside it. PLUS!! They described the procedure to me, saying they were going to place my head inside what they described as being "like a football helmet". The front/face lifts up, you lie on your back and you place the back of your head in the helmet-thing, securing your head, then they lower the facemask part of it down and it clicks into place. This thing holds your head completely still so that they can get a good scan with you not moving (at all). After you are secured they slide you up inside that narrow-bore tube where you'll be for about 20 minutes.

No..... bloody..... way.... I said.

I think ... and I'm serious.... I think they prescribed me 2 Quaaludes. I had taken one on the way there (my wife was driving). When I got there the tech asked me had I taken them. I told him I took one and the other one was in the car. "Go ahead and take that one, too", he said. Hmmmm.... OK... I'll be right back. I went out to the car and took it and came back in.

He let my wife sit in there with me.

The last thing I remember was being in that helmet-thing with a very nice, warm cloth covering my eyes, and being moved inward into the tube and my wife sitting down in a chair at the end with her hand on my leg. The very next thing was me looking around and it was all over.

Yay for that.
