The Georgia men's basketball team defeated Ohio State, 79-77, on Tuesday evening at the Value City Arena and has advanced to the NIT semifinals for the first time since 1998.With the win, Georgia has now reached the NIT semifinal for the third time in program history and first since 1998. The Bulldogs are now 3-0 in the NIT quarterfinals.

Georgia's scheduled baseball game here Tuesday against Mercer has been postponed due to inclement weather. The teams are looking at possible dates to reschedule the game next month at Foley Field. Up next, Georgia (21-4, 3-3 SEC), ranked as high as No. 22 this week, will begin a three-game SEC series Friday against No. 5 Tennessee (21-4, 3-3) in Knoxville.

Bulldog graduate transfer javelin thrower Marc Minichello has been named the Southeastern Conference Men's Co-Field Athlete of the Week, according to a league announcement Tuesday. Minichello sent his first javelin attempt of the 2024 season a personal record distance of 82.32 meters/270 feet, 1 inch at the Hurricane Collegiate Invite to win by nearly 20 feet and take over the national lead by more than 10 feet.  

Following a third-place finish at the SEC Championships, the University of Georgia men's swimming and diving team travels north for the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming & Diving Championships, running March 27-30 at the Indiana University Natatorium.

The third-ranked Georgia softball team concludes its road swing with an in-state midweek matchup at Kennesaw State on Wednesday. First pitch at Bailey Park is set for 6:30 p.m.
