Gabe Harris impressing at OLB....stout against the run, twitchy pASS rusher..being compared to Azeez

Damon Wilson at OLB is like the pass rush part of Azeez and/or AA19.  More of a pass rush specialist

KJ Bolden is beginning to make plays, consistently. He covers a lot a ground and has made plays on the ball consistently.   He’s made mistakes but hearing he’s taking the coaching and he’s been coached very hard.  Early indicator that once again bossman knew what he was doing getting the guy into Athens. He is going to play significant snaps as a freshman

The buzz has been luke-warm on our CBs, all of them. They’re giving up a lot of plays and our WRs have gotten naked on them many times. Everette has been moved around back there this spring and I don’t know if these are permanent moves.   Bottom line is that our WRs have cooked DBs this spring and guys are struggling in coverage. Ellis Robinson has drawn praise and excitement but is still running with the 3s primarily. Everette, Harris, Julio, and Peal all get more reps today.

Not hearing much on DL, but buzz has been consistently positive on Jah Jarrett primarily calling him out for having a consistent motor. That doesn’t go unnoticed for a big man. Still, the OL has dominated the DL this spring.

That’s the least shocking thing this spring imo. There are guys missing on DL while OL is fully healthy, but I still believe OL > DL. Not hearing much buzz on ILBs. The common theme there is size and speed. All look like NFL guys and all of them can run. As far as making plays, there isn’t buzz to share.

2 positions you can bet we go to the Port Hole in a few weeks are DL and QB. We will bring in at least 1 DL and maybe two if there's anyone worth a dry fart. QB will be interesting. Toasty has probably posted, but, word on the street is we are still very much in it for a big name QB in '25. Whoever we get will have to come in knowing they're a 1 year solution at best and maybe a #2 at best.

Our guy seems to be skeptical of any DL from outside the SEC could impact our roster.  As we know, no SEC to SEC portholio's this upcoming cycle

Annd We're in it for a big name QB erery year but

Arch
Ravioli
and one could even mention the Caleb Williams transfer sweepstakes
next year?

Yeah, I'd have to go full disagree on that.   There are conferences that have good players besides the SEC.  I'd take a 340lb run stuffer from San Diego St. or whoever has one.  Playing with better players around you makes YOU better in football.   Personally, I don't think a big DL guy would be that incredibly hard to find.  But, if you listen to the talking heads who think they know... there are only about 3-4 in the entire nation.
