Graduate transfers Marc Minichello (javelin) and Stephanie Ratcliffe (hammer throw) took first place in their respective events and three Bulldogs made improvements to the program's all-time top-10 lists at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday.
Led by a 1-under 69 from freshman Savannah De Bock, Georgia shot 11-over 291 in Friday's opening round of the SEC Women's Golf Championships. The No. 23-ranked Bulldogs are in 12th place at Pelican Golf Club.
The No. 6 Georgia women's tennis team completed its third-consecutive sweep, earning a 4-0 victory over No. 30 Vanderbilt at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday. The Bulldogs (16-4, 11-1 SEC) now lead the all-time series 39-13 over the Commodores (11-8, 6-6 SEC), winning each of the last seven meetings.
The No. 38 Georgia men's tennis team fell to No. 5 Kentucky, 4-1, at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex on Friday evening.
