Truck tire question...I have a Chevy TB...
#1
that has the GY Wrangler Duratracks that came on it with about 38K on them.  I've never been a GY fan and these tires haven't haven't done much to change my mind.   I will say they've not been terrible and for most folks would have about 25-30K miles left on them.  I tend to change my tires when they get to the wear bars and don't like to drive them much when they're worn.   These have started to get a little loud, which you expect from a mud-type tire.   But, there's one...now on the driver's side front, that is extra loud.   (I should add I rotate every 5K).   I've examined the tire closely and there's nothing "wrong" with it.  My guess is, it has some minor feathering and that's creating the extra humm.

My thought is, I'm just going to rotate it to the back again and drive it for a while.  It's much less annoying on the back.   I can't bring myself to replace them all yet as they're just in too good of shape.  It will obviously mess up my rotation, but, it'll probably get me another 10-15K and I can just get four new Nittos or Wild Peaks.

What says the AKHOTD?

Make sure it’s in balance so you don’t wear out shocks/struts, move it to rear axle, and drive on. You could also turn up the radio

You'll also want to make sure it's not a bearing going bad, so moving it seems like a good idea.

Thanks!   Agree, those were my thoughts too and I’ve eliminated both.  It’s just the damn noisy tire.

If you've priced tars lately, you'll run those as long as you can!!! Lort.

You're exactly right!!!!   That's the reason I'm running them now.  In the old days, I'd be changing these out right now.  But, the price is crazy.
