I knew he focused on the portal, but apparently he spends little time on HS recruiting (an indication that he's short term).
This was a quote from the article, that BLEW my mind.. esp when our coach is the complete opposite:

"Sanders didn’t visit a high school in the last cycle, but he had plenty of time for his book tour. "

He thinks he can recruit on name and reputation alone. If he doesn't get out and make big time playmakers feel wanted, then he is definitely short term. The shine will wear off of him at Colorado really fast.

I honestly thought he was going to put real effort into this. Definitely was mistaken

I'd say most of it is already gone.  After winning three games to start, the lost 8 of their last 9.  In retrospect, the three they won to open the season all had losing records, and their 4th win was against a 3 game winner.

Meion is big hat, no cattle. All he is is mouth and self promotion. He was successful at Jackson State because he had NIL money to pay D1 talent players his opponents didn't have.

He probably thinks he's going to put Hunter and his son in the first round of the NFL draft next year, and that will earn him a little more time.  But maybe his son has been the goal all along.  He was improved as a QB last year, but I don't think he's a first round pick.  Maybe he will surprise me.

Hunter will easily be a first round pick, if he can make it through the whole season without a critical injury.
