Steven can't do it anymore.
Went to HS with a girl that became a stripper after graduation. Stage name was Charity. I don't think she understood the irony to her name. She didn't have a charitable bone in her body. This Aerosmith tune was her signature dance tune.

I remember a Charity from the Discotheque bitd. Would have been early '80s. May have been your classmate.

She was 1 of Whitey's girls BITD.
Haven't heard anything about her in about 30 years. Last thing I heard was that she was at the Snake Lady's wake. Someone that worked for me knew some of the Snake Lady's family from Gibson and went to the wake and the funeral. They started talking and she realized that she went to school with me. Women at work had a lot of fun with that. By the end of the week my boss called me in and wanted me to tell him about dating the Snake Lady. Have to admit I had some fun with that with the Old Man for a while. He never believed that I was pulling one over on him. He told me he knew that I changed the story because I didn't want it to get back to my wife. He would tell me, you know your story is safe with me. That was probably the funniest part of it. He talked about every chance he got.

Snake Lady ended up as a bartender/server at Pinnacle Club when I was a member there. She was a really nice person and a great server. We became "friends" and she would tell me stories about "when she worked for Whitey".
My dad had a lot of rental properties in Harrisburg. When I worked with him in property management we ended up with about six Discotheque dancers as tenants. They were great tenants. They paid their rent promptly (in cash, unsurprisingly), never called to complain about anything and were great fun to talk to when they came in to pay rent. They all had biker boyfriends and one day one of them came in and said all of them were moving out. She would never tell us what happened or why they all had to move. We told them about the money they would owe for moving out early and she said "no problem" and peeled off the total amount due from a HUGE wad of cash. I assumed they had run afoul of the biker gang the boyfriends were part of. A few months later, I was in the club with an out of town friend and several of them were still working. I felt a little self conscious seeing them dancing and naked but they all came to our table after they danced and sat and talked like we were old friends. My out of town friend was quite impressed with my "street cred".
They looked totally different at work than they did away from work. Makeup is a magical thing.

It was always funny to see those Discotheque girls out and about around town. Lady that cut my hair had several that were her regulars. It was funny to see them in there with their Mamas' and Grandmama's getting their hair fixed. My Dad rewired a large old house in Old Town where a few lived. I was his helper that summer. Whitey always paid in cash. I asked him if was all dollar bills. He would just laugh and smile. They were all nice and made sure we had something cold to drink. My old man thought one of them was sweet on me. When the biker bf showed up , he laughed and said you better leave that one alone, none of it is worth getting your a$$ stomped over it.
My Mama ws a good Baptist woman. When she found out what was going on, Dad had to stop doing Whitey's electrical work. My Dad got pi$$ed and told her, Hell on Friday night half the Deacons at Curtis Baptist are in there. He had to sleep on the couch for a while.
There was 1 of the dancers that local legend said was in med school at MCG. I never verified that rumor. I would see her at the AC library occasionally and sometimes around MCG when my GF lived in the dorms there. She had a dancer's body. but she was a butterface, again the magic of makeup. . Had a good friend whose Dad taught at MCG, he would never confirm or deny that rumor. Said it would be a breach of confidentiality and would just laugh. BTW, he was a Curtis Baptist Deacon, LOL.

As far as the girl in med school, when I was in nursing school at AC, we had a nursing student that was a stripper. Most of us really respected her for trying to get out and “better” herself. Either her grades weren’t that good or the mo yes she was missing stripping was too good to pass up, but she never finished.
Another of my many careers was as the manager of the Regency Mall theater. We needed to hire a Chief-of-Staff. My assistant manager, who was a frequent customer of the Discotheque, suggested it to a really cute dancer. The girl was beautiful, but dumb as rocks, so she didn’t make the cut. I told my division manager about it, and he insisted on bringing her in for a follow-up interview….that he insisted on being at! Pervert just wanted to look at her, and she never got the job.

Dang Luvs , we were work neighbors. Worked around the corner from you at Regency Mall. Sold Nikes and gym shorts at Mr Sport in front of the escalator , late 70s -early 80s, while in school. Regency Mall was mucho fun in those days. Had that Fast Times at Ridgemont High vibe to it for a while. That place went to Hell quickly when they put a City Bus stop outside of the Mall.
There was one of your guys that used to let us sneak in for free. We would give him deals on Nikes. There was a girl that sold movie tickets that was hot AF BITD. Good memories. Young, dumb and too much free time.
