At the time I was stationed in England and was TDY to Kapaun Air Station, Germany. We were on a bus, riding from Kapaun to Rhein Main Air Base, which actually sat on the opposite side of the runway of Frankfurt Intl., for our return trip back to the UK. I had my "ghetto blaster" stereo with me and was scanning the different Armed Forces Network radio stations, picking up the game until the station faded out, scanning and finding the next one until it faded out, as we rode the bus.

By the time we got to the MAC terminal at Rhein Main the game was already over, the Dawgs having won 13-7. But the game was still on AFN TV, with a one-hour delay in the broadcast. They had the game on all of the TVs in the MAC terminal. That was the first TV Dawgs play I had seen since the Sugar Bowl win over Notre Dame. There was a loud-mouthed guy there who was a Clemson fan, urging anybody to bet him, as he was saying that Clemson was going to win. I couldn't bring myself to take advantage of him in his zeal, as I already knew the final score.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

For many reasons, I'm sure, you are a better man than me, but particularly for not taking him up on that bet and taking him for everything he was willing to give.

My first senior season. We all went to Athens the Friday before after we got off of our summer jobs. Classes hadn't started yet and I think that might have been the biggest party weekend I experienced as a student. Georgia fans really didn't know how to handle a night game. The whole place was insane.

"Back when", when I worked for Lockheed, I went down to Cecil Field and NAS Jax a couple of times for work. We had communications links from two Lockheed field offices (i.e. trailers out by the flightline) who were there to support some Lockheed stuff they had on... I think, A-7s. I think the work was in preparation of the closure of Cecil Field, or maybe just that particular field office. This was either late-1980s or early-1990s. I always enjoyed that trip.
