Not sure if this is the actual article that he was trying to link, but this is the story...

Basically, Oklahoma St. is putting QR codes on helmets so you can scan them with your phone at home and contribute to their NIL.

I honestly don't get where all this money is coming from. I save all year to donate and buy season tickets. And I save so much every month for away trips and I have been doing that for decades. I don't have enough points to qualify for away game tickets any more so I have to pay a premium on the secondary market. I don't have anything left to contribute to NIL. I don't own a business that would hire a player to represent my products either. I guess I have been doing it wrong.

I'm with you.  I'm not poor by any means but there must be a ton of people who are making BIG money to fund NIL, donations, tickets, game day expenses, travel to away games and all the other costs associated with college football.  To be honest, I don't see the value proposition in pouring tens of thousands of dollars (minimum) into college football each year so I can get seats where I can see the same game the other people in the stadium are seeing.  If I owned a business I would want to see some return on my advertising dollars I put toward NIL and I don't think that is happening.
