GPB was UHF channel 20 in Augusta (tower was in Wrens). We could get that channel about 40% of the time. NBC was a UHF channel too, channel 26, it became available around 1970 or so. Before then, NBC and CBS shared channel 12. Channel 6 was ABC and was the strongest channel.

Had to use this bad boy to redirect the rooftop antenna if I wanted to watch Trooper Terry on WJBF out of Augusta (instead of one of the SAV stations)

The rotor was big time, my Uncle in Moultrie had one, he could get Allbenny stations and Tallahassee..I thought it was cool.

Lots to unpack in this pic of the Channel 6 news team from the 70's. Don't think Hans liked Connie being in the middle. Hans accompanied my class on week long visit to DC and Quantico Va, weird dude.
