I'd drop whatever I was doing to drive to Athens and help move Bobo's things out of his office is Monken wanted to come back.

While I'd call myself a Bobo-skeptic, I didn't put a lot of weight on Bobo for how this game played out, especially the first half. Beck sucked over the course of the first half. He was being rushed most of the time, but he couldn't hit a receiver downfield at all. Like, just bad. UK had that one dude on D that kept tackling everyone. After we'd run our first 8 plays, he had 5 tackles. We couldn't block him. We couldn't run the ball, literally nothing was working. I don't put that on Bobo so much, unless he decides that someone should be blocking the one guy that's making all the tackles. I thought he did a pretty good job of calling different schemes and types of plays just to find something that worked. Adjustments at halftime were good, but they obviously didn't really put us in a position of dominating. I'm not sure we could have.

Tackling was some of the worst I'd seen, but I don't know why. That Sumo dude and the #2 back could slip out of a wrap up every time and fall forward for 6 yards. We had them in the backfield so many times.

Officiating was terrible, but the first two blatantly bad calls went in our favor. At some point, the refs took over the game and made it more about their inability to call it correctly.

Something about playing UK in UK at night or in the rain. They just bring their best. I guess we'll see if we have put our worst behind us in a couple of weeks.

I'm just saying that if it isn't night time when we play them there and the crowd is uber fired up, it rains.  It seems like something else comes into play.

well said. I do worry about him and I think we beat Bama last year with Monken. The fact he KEPY going to to injured stars while ignoring people like Bell drove me crazy. And the first down runs up the middle that continue to happen when the whole stadium knows it's coming is inexcusable. As for Searles, I've never liked him. Our run blocking shoert yardage situations is pathetic and has been since he arrived. He can't sign a 5 star and to say we have the best line in the nation is silly. Texas is going to abuse our guys on the line.
