I received a text from my oldest son stating that very thing. The Blackhawk pilot was a trans sexual and purposely flew the copter into the plane. Also told me the Blackhawk pilot tried to hit a couple other planes a few minutes before striking the plane in question. Horrible, just horrible if true. I hope it's not true. One thing is clear...that helicopter was flying well above the standard flight level for that corridor. 200 feet.

I find it hard to believe the helicopter's flight path was a regular flight path for helicopters in the area. That flight path was perpendicular to the landing approach on runway 33 at Reagan airport. Apparently, airplanes having to go around or take measures to avoid helicopters in that area are not exactly rare events. |
