Falcons announced they interviewed Marion Campbell this morning...

They did so from his graveside and the interview was very one-sided with the Falcons brass doing all the talking.   Reports are it went well and they're planning a second interview later in the week.

Blank was interviewed shortly after and said, "look, we're trying to be thorough here...just because the man passed in 2016 doesn't mean he couldn't have the success with our team that Bobby Petrino and others have had...".

The Swamp Fox reportedly had no comment on the proceedings...

Lol. While they're at it, can they walk over to Rankin Smith and ask him if he's interested in buying the team back?

Blank is starting to match Smith's futility...I had high hopes for him...

Me too.  Next owner will likely be someone like Rick Ross and Killer Mike.

Blank would probably lose money on purpose to make a deal like that.

That wasn't my point...I was just making a funny at the expense of the local team.  I don't care enough to be upset.

Again, I know you're invested as a fan and I get it.  I'm just apathetic anymore when it comes to the Falcons.

Like it or not, their process has been a bit of a head scratcher.  If you interview like 5 guys and don't cut anyone and have them all back for a second interview, are you really doing due diligence, or are you just demonstrating that you have no idea how to do this (which has been apparent with the previous 5 hires)?

You would have thought they would have had a plan prior to going into the process.  But, what the hell do I know.

I just saw this morning something the NFL is doing (that I can't mention here) that reminded why I didn't watch for several years.   Will probably go back to that.

I mean 2 in person interviews are required just for the rooney rule....

All interviews are head scratchers to anyone not privy to what's going on by those doing the hiring.
