remaking a masterpiece is probably the biggest reason.

remaking a masterpiece animated movie as a real camera movie is a colossal load of dung. You'd think with all the technology, they could make a movie that doesn't suck.

Less than 2% of remakes are anywhere close to the quality of the original. The vast majority are far worse.

Hollywood ran out of ideas for movies decades ago. The crap they turn out now is nothing but CGI, comic book movies, remakes and anti White woke BS.
