The good courses are along the lines of west lake/Gusta country club.  Harbor town is good slight notch below sage or maybe equal hard to compare they are very different aint played haig point since mid 90s.  There are a few private i want to play.  If i dont get on haig or long cove i aint gonna play. Sunset grille thursday night 730.  Hope to catch the sunset

All three in Palmetto dunes are decent. Long cove is special…but, you’ll need a hook up.

I know Haig was completely redone in the early 2000's and is (or was at the time) very nice. There are so few people who live at Haig, it is almost like ANGC as far as how many people play so it stays in really good condition. I know nothing about Long Cove.

Sunset Grille is one of my favorites.

Haig is excellent. I always liked Bloody point better. But, it’s been closed for years. Word is it’s getting ready to re-open. Haven’t been to Dauhfuskie in a while.

Been a few years since I spent any real time on Daufuskie.  Went to the bar at Freeport a couple months ago.  That place has become the go to place for Savannah people, it was standing room only on Saturday afternoon.  They had a band playing and there were tons of beautiful women and beautiful boats in the marina (those things tend to go together).  I've always enjoyed Daufuskie.  I like the remoteness and the "Bring your own everything" nature of going there.  When you are on Daufuskie, you feel like you are a million miles from everything.  It definitely isn't for everyone but I like it.

Bloody Point and Melrose seem to be black holes that suck millions and millions of dollars into oblivion.  Every ten years or so, some rich person or someone who can find investors tries to make Bloody Point and/or Melrose go again.  It never goes well.

I think the fact you can only get to Daufuskie by boat limits the number of people who can get there too much for anything that isn't a private club with dues paying member to make it.  Hell, Haig is full of some of the richest people I've ever met (Ken Nugent, the retired Allstate CEO, retired GM CEO to name a few) and Haig is constantly struggling with financial shortfalls and increases in POA and club dues.
