Woof™ For 16th Best Season in History of UGA Football #6 Final AP Poll (SEC Champs)

ATHENS, Ga. – The national champion Georgia women's tennis team was recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for academic achievement Monday including seven student-athletes earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. Teams with at least a 3.2 grade point average (GPA) for the year earn ITA All-Academic Team distinction, and the Bulldogs finished the year with a 3.50 GPA. Also, Alexandra Vecic, Mell Reasco, Mai Nirundorn, Hayden Mulberry, Anastasiia Lopata, Guillermina Grant, and Sarah Branicki were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for their outstanding work in the classroom. Last month, 11 members of the squad were named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia All-Americans Robbie Burnett and Ryland Zaborowski along with pitcher Eric Hammond recently signed free agent contracts following the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft. Burnett, a 5-10, 191-pound senior outfielder/infielder from Franklinton, N.C., signed with the New York Yankees organization. Zaborowski, a 6-5, 250-pound infielder from Gilbert, Ariz., signed with the Los Angeles Angels. Hammond, a 6-4, 193-pound right-hander from Keller, Texas, signed with the Minnesota Twins.

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia women's track and field team swept the indoor and outdoor National Scholar Team of the Year honors and Stephanie Ratcliffe was named the Women's Field Scholar Athlete of the Year outdoors, according to an announcement from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Monday. The Lady Bulldogs boast a 3.45 GPA and were second at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships before winning the program's first women's national outdoor title.  This marks the third time in history that the Georgia women have been named the National Scholar Team of the Year indoors (2017-18) and only the second time the unit has earned the accolade outdoors (2017).  Ratcliffe's honor is fourth of its kind for UGA after the legendary Keturah Orji earned the accoloade in 2015 and 2017-18. Ratcliffe, a native of Melbourne, Australia, posted a 3.95 as she works to complete her third combined degree during her undergraduate years at Harvard and her graduate years at Georgia.  The Georgia men, who featured a runner-up finish of their own at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, were named an All-Academic Team thanks in part to their 3.19 GPA.
