The University of Georgia has produced a number of great golfers over the years. Two of the top Americans playing today are Bulldogs, and they're set to be part of an elite team of golfers this fall. Russell Henley and Harris English are two of the six golfers who have automatically qualified to be part of the United States Ryder Cup team. The other automatic qualifiers were Scottie Scheffler, JJ Spaun, Xander Schauffele, and Bryson DeChambeau. This will be Henley's first Ryder Cup appearance. Henley sits fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking. His 2025 has featured a victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a tie for second at the Travelers Championship, four top-five finishes, and nine top-tens. English, meanwhile, is ranked ninth in the Official World Golf Ranking. This year English won the Farmers Insurance Open, came in second at The Open, and finished tied for second at the PGA Championship. English has four top-five finishes and four top-tens. English played on the 2021 U.S. Ryder Cup team.
