BISHOP, Ga. – The reigning national champion University of Georgia equestrian team competed in its annual Red and Black Scrimmage on Saturday at the UGA Equestrian Complex. The Red Team defeated the Black Team, 9-7. No. 1 Georgia will open the 2025-2026 season against Baylor at the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Ga on Friday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. 

CARY, N.C. — Deniz Dilek defeated Arkansas's Katarina Pavlechova in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(4) to continue to day two of the singles pre-qualifiers. Dilek will face North Carolina's Mary Grace Rennard Sunday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m.

TOYKO, Japan --- Former Bulldog collegiate record holder Kyle Garland (USA) holds more than a 150-point lead halfway through the decathlon as the nine-day World Athletics Championships continued in Tokyo, Japan. Garland, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., has scored 4,707 points following the 100-meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400m to stand 164 points ahead of Sander Skotheim (Norway), who has 4,543 points.  Garland is just off his day one personal best that eventually allowed him to claim the title at the USATF Championships.  Skotheim is 68 points off of the pace from his world-leading score earlier this year. 

NORMAN, Okla. — Sophomore Sydney Givens fired a school-record 63 in the opening round of the Schooner Fall Classic on Saturday. Givens is tied atop the individual leaderboard entering Sunday's final round at Belmar Country Club, while the Bulldogs are tied for 11th in the team field.
