Gunner is a tough SOB and a DGD, but

he can't complete a pass down field to save his life. Add in Bozo and Searles and I just don't see us winning a natty with him. Tough standard to live up to but that's what Kirby and Stet have done to us.

On a different front, IU and Cignetti look like a machine but it will be interesting to see how things play out over the next couple years when his coaching staff leaves and he doesn't have a legit NFL QB.

we are a horrible down field passing team. You are right, he is one of the toughest dudes to play QB. Not many QBs can take the hits he takes and get back up and make plays. Just like last night. That huge hit he took then got up and hurried down field to score on a QB sneak. Should have been targeting.

But, he can't throw it long for shit. Watched breakdown of film several times during the year, wide open guys he misses all the time. Happened a few times last night. We know from experience that Kirby is stubborn. Unless a team hires our OC or DC they ain't leaving and Gunner will be our starter next year.

I love Gunner. I’ve been around the kid a few times. His family is salt of the earth UGA fans.

Still, I don’t think he’s the answer at this point. I know there has been some issues with him not being able to cut loose on passes down the field. I think Kirby and Bobo beat “don’t turn it over” into his head to the point where he’s afraid to throw it. Maybe that gets fixed in the offseason…I doubt it.

Bobo being out at center hasn’t been talked about enough. Gunner hasn’t looked the same since.

I THINK what I’d like to see next year (won’t happen) is to use the two QB system. Put Gunner in for short yardage or goal line type stuff. Run with Pugs or a portal QB for the bulk of the offense. Again, I’d be shocked if this happens…but, I feel like we are somewhat handicapped on what we can do with the offense as it stands.

I knew the Bobo injury was going to be big..it was bigger than I thought..Ole Miss is a good team though and it is hard to beat a good team twice in a year…

That’s a fact!    I’m shocked the “noise” around them didn’t cause more problems.

He needs to spend a ton of time throwing footballs into baskets at 25, 30 35, & 40 yards until he can't miss at each distance. It seemed every pass he threw over 20 yards missed the target by 3 yards or more.
