I watched this kid practice last year and couldn't figure out how he was even on our roster. His size is the obvious answer and I know he had some health issues last year where he couldn't put on weight. But, he looked like that tall, goofy, kid we all new in school that had zero coordination. I was somewhat surprised he didn't look horrible and obviously way better than I expected when he played this year. Still, I don't think he was ever going to be anything more than a depth piece for us. He played this year because we didn't have many options. Said all that to say...I don't view this as much of a loss. Do we need to add a tackle a little more now in the portal...probably.

I also view this as likely good news that Freeling is staying another year.
