Busted my leg Friday at work. Slipped and fell backwards with my left leg getting pinned under me. Rolling around my condo on an office chair. Hurts so bad.
ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 7/18 University of Georgia swimming and diving teams opened 2026 with a trio of victories over Florida State and Arkansas Saturday at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium. Freshman Kennedi Dobson turned in a tremendous performance with three individual wins. Graduate Luca Urlando posted another strong outing with four victories. Senior Ieva Maluka touched first in the 200y butterfly. Freshman Sean Green swept the men's distance events. Senior Ruard van Renen touched first in the 100y backstroke. Hayden Meyers lead the 200y backstroke. Senior Olivia Della Torre won the 100y butterfly. Charlotte Headland proved victorious in the 100y breaststroke. Junior Matthew Bray finished first on 3-meter diving.
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The 18th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs defeated South Carolina (10-6, 1-2), 75-70, on Saturday afternoon at the Colonial Life Arena to move to 14-2 (2-1) on the season. Sophomore forward Kanon Catchings led all scorers with 20 points in the contest.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12 Georgia GymDogs recorded a 197.000 to defeat No. 21 Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday at the Covelli Center, 197.000-196.250. This score marks the Bulldogs' first 197.000 season opener since 2007 against Stanford (197.375). Junior Lily Smith led the way with first-place finishes on bars (9.875), beam (9.925), and floor (9.950). Junior Ady Wahl claimed the vault title.
CLEMSON, S.C. – Georgia tallied an impressive 11 events wins and 14 improvements to the school's all-time top-10 list to open the indoor season at the Clemson Invite in Clemson, S.C. on Saturday. Freshman Jonathan Simms earned an event win during his collegiate debut in the men's 400-meter dash. Graduate transfer Vimbayi Maisvorewa continued the Bulldog's dominance in the 400-meter dash on the women's side, capturing the event win with a 52.44 finish. Graduate Transfer Kimani Jack also had success in his Bulldog debut with an event win in the men's high jump. Additional Bulldogs tallying event wins were senior Kaila Jackson in the women's 60-meter dash at 7.22, sophomore Danah Nembhard in the women's triple jump at 12.78m/41-11.25 and sophomore Jayden Keys in the men's long jump at 7.76m/25-05.50.
