LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Georgia Bulldogs took down the Kentucky Wildcats, 86-78, inside Rupp Arena for the first time since 2009 to move to 18-8 (6-7) on the season. Junior guard Blue Cain led the Bulldogs with 20 points and five rebounds in the win. On top of Cain's 20 points, matching his best in conference play this season, Jeremiah Wilkinson, Smurf Millender and Somto Cyril followed closely with 19, 14 and 14 points respectively. Millender also had a season-best eight assists. Georgia returns home to face the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Stegeman Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network, and the first 750 UGA Students at the game will receive a free 'Spike Hat.'

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Led by outstanding freshman Kennedi Dobson, the University of Georgia women's swimming and diving team earned two silver medals on the first full day of competition at the 2026 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships Tuesday at the University of Tennessee Allan Jones Aquatic Center. Dobson earned her first SEC medal in the mile, leading for the first 600 yards before eventually taking silver with a second-place time of 15:43.72. Senior Ieva Maluka, senior Shea Furse, sophomore Marie Landreneau, and Dobson earned silver with an A-cut time of 6:53.71, the sixth-fastest in program history in the Women's 800y Freestyle Relay. Following two days in Knoxville, the Georgia women rank fifth overall with 160 points, with the men currently in sixth place at 155.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Georgia gymnast Lily Smith has been named the Southeastern Conference Specialist of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. The award is Smith's first SEC Specialist of the Week award in her career. She was a five-time Freshman of the Week in 2024. The highlight of Smith's weekend came on floor, where she anchored the lineup with a 9.975 to win the event title. The junior has recorded scores of 9.950 or higher on floor in all seven of Georgia's meets this season. Saturday's routine marked Smith's 14th career score of 9.950 or better on the event. No. 6 Georgia Gymnastics returns to Stegeman Coliseum on Friday, Feb. 20, to host the No. 4 Florida Gators.

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs softball team will host the Samford Bulldogs on Wednesday, February 18 at the Jack Turner Stadium with first pitch set for 4:00 p.m. ET. Georgia enters the contest at 9-2 after a 5-1 stretch at the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational last week.

ATHENS, Ga. – Senior utility and catcher Sarah Gordon was tabbed as the National Player of the Week by D1Softball, Softball America and Softball on SI for Week Two of the 2026 season.
Gordon, over six games played in Clearwater, batted .667 and went 12-18 with nine runs, 10 RBIs, six doubles, one triple and two home runs against the likes of Oklahoma State, No. 11 Nebraska, NC State, UCF, Northwestern and No. 22 Duke. She also posted a 2.144 OPS with a perfect fielding percentage and team-high 17 put-outs. More, in the win over Nebraska, Gordon had the game-winning tag.

ATHENS, GA.-----Ninth-ranked Georgia's season-opening 12-game home stand continues Wednesday when USC Upstate visits Foley Field. First pitch will be at 3:02 p.m.

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia football has hired Larry Knight as its next Outside Linebackers Coach, according to an announcement from Bulldog head coach Kirby Smart.  An Augusta, Ga., native, Knight joins the Bulldogs following a brief stint in a similar position for the West Virginia Mountaineers.  Knight came to West Virginia after serving as the defensive ends coach and run game coordinator at Arkansas State for the 2025 season. The Red Wolves registered 39 sacks for the year, tying for No. 1 in the Sun Belt Conference in total sacks and tying for No. 6 nationally for average sacks per game (3.00).

Birmingham, Ala. — Georgia track & field's freshman Adaejah Hodge and graduate transfer Kimani Jack have earned Southeastern Conference weekly awards for their performances at Clemson's Tiger Paw Invite, announced Tuesday afternoon. Hodge was named SEC Women's Co-Freshman of the Week for another pair of impressive performances in the women's 60 meter dash and 200 meter dash. Jack received the SEC Men's Co-Field Athlete of the Week honors, his first conference weekly award for his performance in the high jump.  Georgia has now claimed at least two weekly conference awards every competition week.
