I was a big NFL fan in jr high and HS. A big SI fan. We passed SI around and read it religiously cover to cover during school. For whatever reason, remember that cover. Gilliam had beat out Bradshaw for QB during preseason. The Steeler fans at school were livid.

Of course, the Falcons played the Steelers on MNF a few weeks later and Bradshaw came off the bench to beat the hapless Falcons. Falcons were 3-11 in '74. Fired the SwampFox and got Bart as the #1 pick. Same as it ever was ever since.
