My 17 year old granddaughter got some good news today

She was selected by the review staff to receive the School Superintendent's award, a two year Florida Prepaid college tuition award.  Great news for her parents, as she is in the dual enrollment program and will graduate in May with her HS diploma and AA degree.  Then she is headed to UCF to finish her degree.  Her success will surely help minimize the out of pocket expenses for her parents. Happy for her and her parents.  She has worked hard throughout high school and it has not gone unrecognized.

That’s great.  She also has Florida Bright Futures ( eligibility is grade and test based similar to Hope in GA). I also split the cost of the Florida Prepaid program  for each of my 5 grandchildren with their parents years ago.  So she should have the resources she needs to finish school.  If she doesn’t need all that she has in her account the unneeded portion can be rolled to her younger sister’s account.
