It's a struggle sometimes for me, even though I've spent an entire career in "high tech".  My parents...no chance at all!!!

I try my best to not use any apps on my phone.  I feel like my phone is already spying on me enough.  I don't need to let additional companies spy on me by downloading their app.

I believe he meant you are not really reducing getting spied on by not downloading apps.
