Phelps would be hard to like if he weren’t on our team.

OU’s pitcher is a punk. Hope Dan Jackson gets to see him again.

As I've taken to doing here frequently (I guess it comes with being middle aged) I'd like to just take a moment to complain about how the CWS determines the home team. I don't know why they think that their method is "fair." The game is already at a neutral site. Why not just make the higher seeded team the home team throughout the tournament? What is the benefit of the seeding? Apparently it puts you in the toughest bracket as well.

The formula is unnecessarily complicated and just dumb. I know they have done it this way for a long time, but it seems to defy logic.
First round, higher seeded team is home.
Next game, the team that has been home the fewest times since the regionals is home.
If they are tied, there are three tie breaks:
1) if they played before in the tournament, the team that was home that game is now the visitor
2) if they haven't played, the team that was visitor in its last game is now home.
3) if that doesn't settle it, they flip a coin.

What is this shit?
