Strengths:
Excels in the short game. Can hit every throw under 10 yards
Plus upside as a playmaker
Near-flawless game against Ole Miss, 26/31, 289 yards and four touchdowns
Weaknesses:
Smaller quarterback prospect
Below-average arm talent
Can not push the ball down the field
Tends to hold the ball too long in high-pressure moments
One year of experience on a loaded roster, Gunner Stockton is likely to get drafted late on Day Three and could likely find himself on a practice squad. As things stand here, he gets an undrafted grade from me and could be talked into extending a camp invite. The lack of pure arm talent and mechanics that need cleaning up doesn't scream upside.
