Georgia fans lived off of the 1980 NC for 35 years, they will live off of the 2021-2022 NCs for at least that long. I'm truly thankful we won the last real "college football" national championship. Since 2022, the NC has been nothing more than a reward for spending the most money on a roster.

College football is nothing more than a lower level of pro football now with no salary cap. I'm not sure the passion is still there for the fans to demand elite status anymore. Everything is a money grab now, from the programs squeezing the fans to the players squeezing the programs, it really isn't something that is easy to be passionate about.
