Have there been any reasonable updates on SBIV? The last one I heard was 3-4 months ago and not really that good. Any word on if an when that dude is playing again?

Basically, I heard he's living in his dad's basement and not really doing anything with rehab or football. Such a shame!

I think the coach for the Rams did indicate in the last week or so he wasn't sure whether SMFB would be back with the team next year and that his status hadn't been in any way improved.

I kinda doubt he's living in his father's basement and not doing any kind of rehab. I mean its not out of the question, but he has a very loving and supporting family, and if his undisclosed personal issue is drug or alcohol abuse, I don't think there is any shortage of family members that would get him to AA meetings. He may have a big ego, but he's not a dumbass, and if the Rams want him to jump through some hoops to make sure he's clean and sober, neither he nor his family would reject that.

If he isn't doing the work he needs to do to get in good standing with the Rams, I don't think his OC is going to bring him to Atlanta with him.  I assume he is doing the work and would still be under contract with LAR.

Rams are probably taking their time.  He's likely protected under ADA if he went to rehab.  If they can't come to terms with terminating his 2 year contract, they may just have to pay him the balance.  Not sure if contract terms can be written in a way that allows them to terminate.

It may depend if he was suspended or broke team rulz? if he's suspended, they may be able to cut him. If he's voluntary and agrees to team rules maybe not.
but i don't know wtf i'm talking about....

He was on the 'Non-Football Related Injury List."  If he was suspended for breaking team rules, then you're probably right, they could probably just cut him, but they probably can't suspend him if he showed up drunk and they told him to "go to rehab" for the same reason that he'd be protected by ADA.  He could have also made the decision, or his family or agent guided him that way quickly, thus tying the Rams' hands.

Ha, my info didn’t come from some bum on the street or reporters article.

Same as before, I’m not asking you fine gents to believe stuff.    It’s obvious some of you believe what you want to believe.   I wasn’t posting what I thought he was doing.   I was posting what I KNOW he was doing.
