BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Georgia Volleyball freshman Gigi Artiles has been named the first SEC Freshman of the Week of the 2026 season, the league announced Monday afternoon. The Miami native kicked off the weekend with a team-high 10 kills on a .444 hitting clip against North Florida in Friday's season opener. She added two blocks and seven digs against the Ospreys. She wrapped up the Classic City Clash with 12 kills on a .579 hitting percentage, plus seven blocks and seven digs, against Furman on Saturday. Artiles is Georgia's first SEC Freshman of the Week since Kacie Evans won the honor five times in 2019.

West Lafayette, Indiana - Georgia volleyball travels to West Lafayette, Indiana for the inaugural 2026 Allstate Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge Week. The Bulldogs will face off against No. 21 Indiana on Tuesday and No. 14 Purdue on Wednesday. Both matches will be played at Mackey Arena on Purdue's campus. The SEC will go toe-to-toe with the ACC in the 2026 Showdown at the Net next week. Georgia will host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Stegeman Coliseum on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Knoxville, TN — The Georgia men's golf team fired a 7-under 553 in rounds one and two of the Visit Knoxville Collegiate on Monday. The Bulldogs are tied for third place on the team leaderboard, with freshman Hamilton Coleman landing in 7th individually. Freshman Mason Howell made his collegiate debut and collected seven birdies in round 1, helping Georgia lead in total birdies in both rounds. Freshman Drew Woolworth carded 3-under 67, going bogey free in round two. 
Grayson Wood climbed 25 spots on the leaderboard between round one and two, carding 2-under 68 with an eagle on hole 5. Tournament host Chattanooga leads the team field at 8-under, with Georgia and Memphis one shot back followed by Vanderbilt (4-under) and North Carolina (3-under).
