Almost got blowed up yesterday
#1
Headed to Orlando airport from Port Canaveral on 528. 2 18 wheelers crashed right in front of us, one exploded. There is a picture out there of the scene with a black van to the left. We were behind that van. He was engulfed in the smoke. Lucky our driver did not hit him. Took 2 hours for us to get redirected and another hour to get to airport.  Missed flight, could not get rebooked until 845. Delta stinks. Ended up renting a car. Got home a little before 7pm

That's crazy!  I've made that drive many times.  Curious about your timeline...and genuinely asking because I thought I was the only one that did crazy shit like renting a car and driving.   Did you drive to Atlanta from Orlando?   I came really close to renting a car and driving from Chicago a couple of weeks ago.

Delta had us on at 845 pm which would have meant getting home at 1130/midnight. No way were
We staying at the airport all day. Got a rental and made it home just before 7pm. No traffic helped.

Our Uber ride was a Prius. No issues with it until the repute to airport. Uber app had drivers on first roads and in a sod farming field!!! Driver was badass though  Russian guy with a “not a problem” attitude. It was a crazy 3 hours

Damn. Had a Russian Uber driver take us to LAX after the Rose Bowl. He was driving an Audi and I felt like I was in a James Bond car chase. Ruskie gave no shits about the LA traffic. He cut off other drivers. drove in the emergency lane, ran red lights, did it all. Thought I was on a ride at Universal. Joker was missing finger pieces on each hand. Daughter about had 2 panic attacks. Quickest I have ever been driven ti a major air port.
