Y'all think Clemson and Dabo ever make it back to the playoffs?

He didn't bring in a single portal player...I think you have to adapt or die.  I get his thought process as it relates to loyalty, but, you can't hang with the best every week if you don't have the players.

That first game with Clemson should be telling... concerning roster management.  Guess we will see.

With the 12 team, he has a good chance of making the playoffs, but without adapting to the current state of college football, it's doubtful he wins it all without a super special QB that he's had a couple of times.

Without filling holes at a few spots from the portal, his team depth will suffer in the tight games against the best and especially if he has a season with above average injuries to starters.

They started to try the portal but were unsuccessful. I don't know if they are just clumsy or not offering enough money.
I heard they whiffed on every single offer.

If he ever gets another QB like the 2 he won with then he will

THAT is actually a great point.  A top-shelf QB can hide a ton of issues.   I think Pennix did that at Washington.  We are also now seeing how really good CJ Stroud is/was.

Don’t really care about Son of Clem. However, JMac is right that Dabo could do well with another top tier QB, especially in a weak ACC.

I severely whiffed on CJ. i didn't think he'd be worth shit in the League. He proved me wrong. He was solid as hell this yr. But back to the other, you have to have a top notch QB. Nobody wins it all w/o 1. They said we did in 2021 only to find out a yr later that they were wrong. Gonna bode well for us next season. We have 1 of the 3 best QBs in the country coming back, if not the best

I don't believe a word that comes out of his pie hole.  Fock him and his aw shucks choirboy schtick!  Apparently the shine is wearing off if more fans feel like Tyler from Spartanburg.  Like others have said here, he apparently needs a generational QB to get him there.  It may be even tougher now that his defensive jeenius Venables is at Oklahoma.

Venables and generational qb talent won him the 2 NCs and got him in all those playoffs. His youth pastor/aw shucks shtick plays well with a lot of the clemson redneck fan base but I'm not sure how it translates to getting top talent. He's still in the weak ass ACC (FSU was a flash in the pan this year) so he'll probably still win a lot of games and sneak into the 12 team playoff but clemson's days of being a legit contender are over unless he can snare another superstar qb along with a stable of elite WRs (they had some incredible WRs for a few years).

I think they will get in a couple more. They usually only have to beat one top25 team in the conference.
