Matt Hayes of USA Today on LSU and Kiffin

Punishment coming, probably fines not expulsion from league

I'd bet a fairly sizeable amount they don't get kicked out of the league. They'll fine them and fuss a little. The dust up will be over until the next one comes along. College football is like everything else. The rules are the rules until someone decides to challenge them.

Shoot, we live in a world where you can kill your three kids and still manage to get sympathy and likely get off without serving too much time.

I think the LSU admin sat Little Lane down and explained to him that, no matter how great he ends up doing at LSU, he is temporary and LSU views their membership in the SEC as permanent. LSU is not going to let Lane Kiffin get them kicked out of the SEC because he wants a couple of players who couldn't make it in the NFL. Lane may have been willing to die on this hill, but the powers that be at LSU probably are not.

I notice LSU has announced they have filled their roster and the NFL guys are not on it.

Kiffen really hasn't changed much over the years. He's still a spoiled brat/punk. He's going to do to LSU what he's done to every other team he's coached. Leave, or get fired. He just can't help himself. And, ESPN can kiss my ass.

Very true, and LSU has to know that about him.  I can't imagine LSU letting Kiffin destroy their entire program.
