With Love for Uncle John Always!Woof .......
ATHENS, Ga. - Bianna Muoneke is many things: talented, charismatic and dedicated, to name a few. She is also, in the words of Georgia volleyball head coach Tom Black, an "apex predator." She certainly was Tuesday night inside Stegeman Coliseum. The Bulldogs and Notre Dame faced off in an SEC-ACC challenge called the Showdown at the Net, and it was Muoneke who dominated, leading Georgia to a 3-1 win. She had 27 kills, more than double anyone else on the court, and also had a season-high 14 digs, two blocks and a pair of aces. Her 27 kills were two shy of her career high, set last season against Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are back in action this weekend at the South Alabama Invitational in Mobile, starting with a match Friday against Tulane.
ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia Soccer Hosts No. 2 Vanderbilt in SEC Opener. Thursday is You've Got a Friend in Me Night and Madison County Night at Turner Soccer Complex. The first 500 spectators will receive a Toy Story-themed T-shirt at halftime. Georgia opens Southeastern Conference play with a massive matchup against No. 2 Vanderbilt Thursday evening at the Turner Soccer Complex. The Bulldogs are looking for their highest-ranked win in program history, with the previous high coming in a 2-1 win over No. 4 Texas A&M on Sept. 27, 2015, in Athens. Along with the A&M victory, Georgia has previous top-five victories over No. 5 South Carolina (2009) and No. 5 LSU (2021) in its history. The Bulldogs also tied No. 1 Florida State, 1-1, in 2024 in Tallahassee. Georgia and Vanderbilt have faced each other in all but two seasons during their program histories, with the Commodores holding a 16-14-2 mark in the series. Georgia concludes its homestand with a visit from Oklahoma next Friday, Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
ATHENS, Ga. – The Southeastern conference announced the 2027 softball conference schedule, per a release on Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs will face three teams that reached the Women's College World Series last season: Alabama, Mississippi State and Tennessee. More, six of Georgia's eight conference opponents reached the NCAA Super Regional round last season. Conference play will begin the weekend of March 12-14, 2027, and run through May 6-8. Georgia kicks off its SEC slate with a visit from the Oklahoma Sooners from March 12-14. Other home series include South Carolina from March 26-28, Alabama from April 16-18 and Auburn from April 30 – May 2. The Bulldogs will first embark on the road in conference to face Mississippi State from March 19-21 – the only SEC opponent that Georgia faced during the 2026 conference slate. Other conference road trips include Ole Miss from April 9-11 and Tennessee from April 23-25 before concluding the regular season at LSU from May 6-8.
ATHENS, Ga. - Jordan Brown is "grateful" to be back on the soccer field. The Georgia goalkeeper missed all of last season with a knee injury, the first major setback of her soccer career, and the time away from the game made her realize both who she was off the field and how much the sport means to her. The Bulldogs' starter in 2023, she again made the SEC All-Tournament Team while helping Georgia win the program's first conference tourney title. As a junior in 2024, she led the SEC in saves and saves per game, and earned second-team All-SEC honors. Then came the injury and the season on the sideline. I think being back this year has really showed me just how much I missed the game. I'm just feeling grateful for every single day, even if I'm diving in the sand pit or, like today, going through a long practice. I'm grateful to be here and healthy."
Wear white Saturday.
