I’m changing my tune on this NLRB ruling at Dartmouth

This is just what teams need to get rid of the steak eaters and bus riders that don’t contribute. Should increase the teams performance. If you aren’t cutting it then off to the lower levels or out of sports altogether. No more players that are standing around taking scholarships and not contributing. 

I did notice that the two Dartmouth basketball players in the espn article are a combined 6 minutes of playing time this season. They appear to be the kind of employee referred to as “fired”.

The ruling does not seem to make sense. Ivy League schools only give need based assistance to athletes same as any other qualified student. They do not give scholarships to play sports. It would seem to mean this is almost like club sports as far as $ goes and they are not paid to play like at other schools...????

I'm fine with all this. It's removing the sham of amateurism the universities and the NCAA has been pushing since the dawn of collegiate athletics. It's always been a lie. Trippi and Sinkwich didn't land in Athens because of the educational opportunities.
