Agree, I am already paying $70/month for YTTV during football season, and the only thing I watch is sports. The rest of the channels are worthless

I'm not their target customer. College football is the only sport listed I really care much about. I can see sports nuts and gamblers wanting that service and I'm neither of those things.

My sports viewing has been quite limited, primarily to Dawgs football and occasional other college football games. Fortunately, I have been able to watch a LOT of Dawg games via aerial antenna (installed in my attic). Either CBS carried it or ABC carried it. When the SECCG and playoffs roll around I have been turning on SlingTV and basically using it for a month and then turning it back off.

Outside of that, my TV viewing is quite limited, even though both my wife and I watch some degree of TV pretty much every day, more so her. But she has loads of British programming she enjoys watching and we get that through free streaming channels/apps. She camps out on Youtube for much of that. She even gets South African news ... current/that day's news... via Youtube.

I will say, though, that the only problem with that turns out to sometimes be over-the-top ads. I fully expect ads with TV. TV has ALWAYS had ads. Even expensive pay/cable/dish TV is chock full of ads. Fortunately, with ads through streaming apps you can often times skip out of them fairly quickly. It just seems that the frequency of ads has picked up a little bit as of late. It sorta comes and goes, I guess.

For the vast majority of the year I don't pay anything for any TV service, between the 90-or-so channels that come in via the antenna and streaming apps, but more so the gazillion options through streaming apps.

I seriously doubt it.  I don't even get the SEC Network now because I don't pay for the Direct TV package that includes it.  Now that college football is nothing more than a minor league professional sport, I don't really care if I don't get a Georgia game.  I'll listen on the radio if I have to.

LOL; some days it feels that way.  Actually, I'm not so much grumpy as I don't care nearly as much as I used to.  It is pretty liberating to be honest.
