Agree Herbstreit may not have influenced DR's decision...He did...

However, straight up proves he's a POS and should be considered an enemy of the Dawgnation of the highest order.

Much like other international events where we conspiracy theorists have been proven correct, we now know that there is something to the UGA hate.

Ohio st. is very near the top of my list of programs that I hope never win another game.  (and has been there).

I suppose he knew Ravioli didn’t have that competitive mojo..

I’m not mad. Like others have said, I think he did us a favor. Too much ego and parent involvement. Woulda been a nightmare for kirvy.

OH, I'm not even talking about Ravioli...I agree with your comments!  My post was purely about Herbie showing his true colors.   He's always gone on and on about being neutral.   We now know 100% for a fact he's not.

Ravioli is the old conundrum of whether you would rather lose with players you love or win with ones you don't like?   Sometimes you can have it both ways.   And, I'm not saying we would have won with DR...we will likely never know.   I do think he's a good QB.

Last thing, I think it's going to be more and more difficult to "like" players in the world we are in now.

I'm glad Crayola went elsewhere but I am anxious to see if Brooks or Kirby address Herbstriet's involvement.  I know the nutless wonder McGoo wouldn't have said a thing about it and neither would the preacherman.

I'm not outraged over this but I am interested to see what ESPN says about one of its top names getting involved in steering a player away from or to a specific program.  This seems to cross a line to me and isn't something that can be dismissed out of hand.

I'm not outraged at all.   Like I said, it just proves what many have suspected for years.   I do think it's a bad look for ESPN and, like you, wonder how or IF they'll address it.   Don't think for one minute this got by Kirby.  Muschamp already lobbed a shot over the bow on Herbie and I suspect Kirby doesn't feel any different.

That is what I am thinking....Kirk probably felt strongly Dylan wasn't going to see the field at least right away. At Nebraska, guaranteed to see the field....another Fields IMO

I have always felt Kirk was full of it...biased...but his crying episode a couple years back over kneeling sealed it for me

One thing is for sure, (write this down), THIS will be how it's spun.  NOT that he doesn't have the competitive edge...it will be spun that Kirk felt Nebraska was a better "fit" for him with a QB coming back at Georgia.   THAT will be the spin on it...that it was all about the best thing for DR and not about Georgia at all.

I also think Dom is trying to make HIS decision sound more solid.....Dylan might not be too excited, who knows. Bottom line, I think we are more than fine and might have dodged another Fields....
