Drivin' through downtown Etlanner in 1979

I was trying to pinpoint the road and direction they were on when initially approaching the downtown area. They might have been coming in from the east side, sorta looks like what is present day Freedom Parkway as they approach the city (??).

The Peachtree Plaza building, the Equitable building, and then that restaurant that looks like a flying saucer are prominent within the skyline. I think that flying saucer thing is now almost fully obscured by taller buildings around it.

Atlanta was once a great place…now, not so much.  In the words of DJT, it is a shit hole.
