At distances under 15 feet, 12 GA 00 Buckshot won’t have spread more than 2 or 3 inches. Even at 40 feet the shot won’t have spread more than 5 or 6 inches with quality ammunition. The real plus with 00 Buckshot is, properly aimed, is multiple wound tracks that stops a threat to your family faster. Of course, the cleanup of bad guy blood is more extensive.
