Woof™..........

It was a Great Day for America yesterday and all weekend as Georgia came back. I fell asleep after a hard two nights getting caught up in the Billy Strings wave that is sweeping this Country. At least in my house as the daughter and her boyfriend and several others who travel the country going to his shows all camped at my condo after the shows, and did laughing gas till it ran out.

Anyway Georgia erased a 9-3 deficit to rally past Georgia Tech 11-9 Sunday in the 21st annual Spring Baseball Classic at Coolray Field in front of a crowd of 8,163. The Bulldogs (10-1) clinched the series after winning 3-1 in Athens on Saturday. Friday's game in Atlanta was suspended due to rain going to the bottom of the fifth with the Bulldogs leading 9-3. A date to finish that game has not been determined by Tech.

The No. 11 Georgia women's tennis team capped off its first weekend of Southeastern Conference action with its second sweep in three days, as it defeated No. 43 Arkansas 4-0 at the Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville on Sunday.

Junior Lilli Backes pitched a career game in the circle for the fifth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs Softball Team in Sunday's 3-1, nine-inning loss to No. 11/10 Stanford.

The No. 43 Georgia men's tennis team lost to No. 26 Mississippi State by a 4-3 result on Sunday afternoon at the AJ Pitts Tennis Center in Starkville. Georgia (4-6, 0-2 SEC) was unable to capture the doubles point, which proved to be the difference as it won three of the six singles matches against Mississippi State (9-3, 1-0 SEC).

The University of Georgia swimming and diving teams wrapped up their regular seasons with the conclusion of the Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet Sunday at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium. For the men's team, it marked their final appearance of the season at Gabrielsen, while qualifying swimmers from the women's team will host the nation's best in Athens at the 2024 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, beginning March 20.
