I backed in 6X6 post back end of Nov. Filed a claim and took it for an estimate. There was a dent about the size of 1/2 a softball on the tailgate and tail light got it. They said it would be 2.5 mos before they could get to it, would take 8 days to repair and it was $5100. Took it in on Feb. 14th. 23 days to repair. (Very organized, reputable company). Seems the work force in this here USA is getting mo pitiful. Nobody knows how to GATA anymore.

Remember $5100 to repair a softball sized dent in a tailgate and replace a tail light the next time you wonder why auto insurance premiums are going up.

We have a claim right now of a new F250 backing into a pole with the tailgate down. The only damage is to the tailgate. The claim is $8400.
Bumper replacement on a new car is generally $4-5000 now because of all the sensors involved. Bumper replacement used to be a $3-500 repair.
Lawyers are involved in 80% of all multi vehicle accidents now, up from around 17% 20 years ago.
All of these costs have to be passed on to the public in higher premiums for auto insurance. If Georgia doesn't pass some sort of tort reform legislation very soon, insurance companies are going to start leaving the state and then premiums will really start to go up.
