Woof™..........

The No. 4 seed Georgia men's basketball team edged past Xavier, 78-76, in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament on Tuesday evening inside Stegeman Coliseum. Georgia earned the program's first postseason win since 2016.

After giving up 37 runs in 3 games against Kentucky this weekend, Georgia's Corey Collins tied a school record with three home runs Tuesday while Clayton Chadwick set one by hitting two home runs in the same inning to lead the Bulldogs to an 18-6 win over Wofford at Foley Field. The Bulldogs (18-4) hit a season-high seven home runs to bring their NCAA-leading total to 63 on the year. Georgia snapped a three-game losing streak as the contest ended in the eighth inning due to the 10-run rule. The Terriers (13-5) came into the game leading the nation in scoring at 11.9 runs a game and second nationally in batting with a .359 average. However, it was the Bulldogs who scored double digit runs while collecting 14 hits including nine that went for extra bases.

For the third time in program history, the University of Georgia women's swimming and diving team plays host to the nation's best swimmers and divers as it hosts the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, running from March 20-23 at the Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium.Georgia looks to improve upon last season's 16th-place finish in Knoxville.

The Georgia men's golf team earned its second top-three finish of the season with a 26-under-par, 838 result at the Linger Longer Invitational, with four Bulldogs finishing in the top 10 individually, the most of any team in the field. Georgia finished the third round on Tuesday afternoon after it shot seven-under, 281, the second-lowest team score on Tuesday. No. 16 Alabama claimed the team title with a 40-under, 824 finish, a new tournament record. No. 13 Virginia finished in second after ending the tournament at 29-under, three strokes ahead of Georgia. No. 14 Georgia Tech and No. 47 UNC-Greensboro round out the top five. Only the top five finishers were the only ones of the 14-team field to finish with results under par. Hey we undefeated against Tech in Men's sports this year.

The fifth-ranked Georgia softball team ends its 10-game game homestand on Wednesday when Georgia Southern comes to Athens for an in-state showdown. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Jack Turner Stadium.

For the fifth time this season, Lily Smith has been named the Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. Smith and the GymDogs are set to compete at the SEC Championship on Saturday, March 23 in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center.

The No. 38 Georgia men's tennis team fell to No. 12 Texas A&M, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center. Despite winning the doubles point, the Bulldogs (7-9, 1-4 SEC) were unable to get the three wins they needed in singles play, with the Aggies (16-4, 5-1 SEC) taking courts one through five.

Good Morning UJD... Mornin' Dawgs

Dawgs hosting that NIT game brought back a memory. Do you remember you, Foot and me went up to Athens and saw the Dawgs beat Maryland, still coached by Lefty Driesell?

Good morning, UJD and Dawg brothers and sisters! Today is yet another gift from God! Live it according to His purposes!
John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
