Three podium trips from the distance group highlighted the second day of competition Thursday for the University of Georgia women's swimming and diving team at the 2024 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium. Through two days of competition, Georgia stands in 10th place with 75 points. The No. 40 Georgia men's tennis team will return to the Dan Magill Tennis Complex for a conference match against No. 29 LSU on Friday, March 22 at 5 p.m. ET and a doubleheader on Sunday, March 24 against No. 48 Arkansas at 1 p.m. and The Citadel at 5 p.m. Senior Caitlin Lyons of the Georgia equestrian team has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Student-Athlete of the Month, the NCEA Selection Committee announced Thursday. Junior Jillian Stopperich of the University of Georgia equestrian team has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Horsemanship Rider of the Month for March, it was announced Thursday. The Bulldogs are set to compete at the SEC Championship as the No. 2 seed on March 29 and 30 in College Station, Texas. The Bulldogs will face Auburn in the semifinal round on Friday at 10 a.m. CT. Georgia baseball plays host to No. 8 Alabama starting Friday in the SEC home opener at Foley Field. The game times are 6 p.m. Friday, Noon on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The fifth-ranked Georgia softball team opens a four-game road swing with an SEC series at Ole Miss.
