Fouls are more of a judgement call..I think they review out of bounds calls late in games...

Gotta admire the shooter's split-second ad lib talent.  When you see you're gonna miss the shot, sell the "foul" by hitting the floor.  If he had made it uncontested, you know good and well he would've landed on his feet and come running out flexing.
