My daughter had been in Texas all week visiting her sister during spring break. Picked her up at Hartsfield this morning and I bet I saw 20 people come off the big escalator with Master gear on. 2-3 even had small portable Masters chairs. Group of loud guys was talking about grabbing the van and heading to Augusta

The practice round crowds are generally the most loud and showy.  Once the tournament actually beings the crowd is older, quieter and classier.

Gotta admit, I saw a lot of non-classy people there on Saturday.  Saw MANY wearing old jeans and old/dirty sneakers, saw yoga pants, and even sweatpants!  Looking forward to the actual tournament days.

ANWA and the Drive, Chip, Putt thing are sort of the "unwashed masses" days.  Those tickets can usually be gotten pretty cheap and lots of people go for no other reason than to shop.  Monday-Wednesday are the big "wannabe" days now even though the practice round tickets have gotten stupid expensive too.  I think you could probably buy a day ticket to the actual tournament for a little more than what the practice tickets are going for now.  The whole thing has become a huge corporate event.  I'd estimate 60-70% of the people out there are entertaining or being entertained if not more.  Sunday is the day that most resembles the way the whole tournament used to be pre Tiger.

The money spent now by the people coming to town is insane.
