Thanks Skip. We are praying for the family. We love you guys.

Skip, i got a text from Melissa Saturday, saying as much as Gary loved The Masters and Augusta National course that it was only fitting that he passed away on Masters Weekend.

What a beautiful legacy and wonderful obit. I wished I had met him, one day I will. I will miss his posts tremendously. Just four months older than me. My times coming, sometimes I feel it a little more. May the Good Shepard hold you close, and may His blessings be felt by family and friends. Go Dawgs!

A wonderful tribute to a man that was beloved by all that had the privilege to know him.

I have been out of pocket for the past few days and am just able to pay my respects to Gary. I greatly respected his wisdom, judgment and his kindness. He was always so thoughtful and supportive of my posts concerning my wife’s battles with her ILD. I greatly appreciated those posts as I knew they were coming from his experiences with his own medical issues and were given in a way to offer strength, compassion and most importantly, hope.

My heartfelt condolences go to you and all of his loving family. I pray that y’all can find comfort and peace in the dear memories and blessings of his life and legacy. Gary touched many folks lives near and far. His work brought healing to countless others and I can only imagine what wise counsel he provided physicians through his consultations.

Rest well you courageous and valiant servant. Your work here is done and your eternal reward is awaiting in Heaven.

Hope they play Sweet Melissa for his daughter, like they did Duanne Allman's funeral.

Oh man. What a terrible way to start a Monday, learning of his passing. I haven't been on here since Friday afternoon...
