That's just the NBA wanting content on tv and some local ticket sales for an extra game or two. It's a joke, but they gotta feed the TV partners.  CFP expansion is the same.  I'd imagine MLB and the NFL are going to do the same.  

The Honks played awful.  It's a terribly constructed team with no real avenues to get better.  They traded a ton of picks for a guard that doesn't fit the team, so tanking is not a option.  Trae's value drops every week or so.  The front office is run by a nepo-baby.  They're a long way from Stan Kasten running the show.
