The ninth-ranked Georgia softball team run ruled the UCS Upstate Spartans 8-0 in six innings on Wednesday at Jack Turner Stadium. The matchup was Georgia's final midweek game of the season. Georgia hosts No. 13 Missouri in a three-game series at Jack Turner Stadium this weekend.

Freshman Lily Smith of the Georgia gymnastics team is set to compete as an individual for the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics National Championship on Thursday, April 18 at 4:30 p.m. Smith qualified to compete as an all-arounder after compiling a 39.675 in the second round of the NCAA Florida Regional and winning the event title.  She will rotate with the LSU Tigers and begin competition on vault.  The first session of the semifinals will air on ESPN2. The SEC Freshman of the Year hit her highest all-around mark behind a 9.975 on bars, 9.950 on beam, 9.925 on floor, and 9.825 on vault.  This is the highest all-around total by a Georgia freshman since Courtney Kupets notched the same score against Auburn in 2006.  The Limerick, Pa. native ranked 20th in the country in the all-around heading into regional competition.

The No. 35 Georgia men's tennis team will begin its postseason in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament, taking on No. 31 Arkansas on Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. ET at the LSU Tennis Complex in Baton Rouge, La.

The University of Georgia equestrian team is set to compete as the fifth seed in the 2024 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, taking place at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida April 18-20. The nation's top eight teams will compete for the 2024 NCEA Championship. Georgia's quest to its eighth national title starts Thursday, April 18, as the Bulldogs face No. 4 Texas A&M at 8:30 a.m. Also in Georgia's bracket are top-seed TCU and eight-seed UC Davis who will face off on Thursday as well. The winners from both meets will compete on Friday, April 19 for a berth to the national championship.  Since the first NCEA Team National Championship in 2002, Georgia leads the nation with seven national titles. Auburn is next with six, followed by South Carolina and Texas A&M with three apiece. Oklahoma State was the first non-SEC school to win the title in 2022 and SMU followed as champions in 2023.

University of Georgia senior Jake Magahey and junior Abby McCulloh were two of 13 Bulldog swimmers named to the 2024 All-Southeastern Conference Team, as announced by the conference office in Birmingham Wednesday morning.

Anthony Edwards, who was the 2020 SEC Freshman/Newcomer of the Year with the Georgia Bulldogs before becoming a rising superstar in the NBA, has been selected for the USA National Team that will compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Good morning, TRD, and you too UJD!

Have you mentioned that the diamond dawgs are finally ranked in the Top 25 this week after taking the series against Mizzou over the weekend?  They're ranked 24th, but have a better record than all but 10 of the teams in the Top 25. The start a 3 game series in Athens against the Rebels of Ole Mrs tomorrow evening at 6 on SECN+.
