....Donald Johanson, the famed 'discoverer' of the first fossils of the extinct species named Australopithecus afarensis in 1974.
Ed note: it was only a couple of years later that I was learning of this discovery in an actual Anthropology class...in a public high school...in S. Ga. Go figure.
